The Benefits of Laser Skin Care

Laser skin care is a procedure that helps improve a person's appearance through the growth of new collagen. In comparison to other similar procedures, recovery time is minimal and there is nearly no pain.

Many people use laser skin care to remove wrinkles and lines. It is a much less invasive procedure than a facelift, of course, and it can be used in nearly any area of a patient's body. It is important that you speak with your dermatologist to determine the right type of procedure for you. There are several factors that go into making this determination, such as what part of the body you want treated and the kind of results that you expect. This procedure is common in areas such as the buttocks, neck, face, abdomen, arms, legs, and neck.

Two common types of laser skin care include tightening and resurfacing. Tightening usually offers less discomfort and downtime than resurfacing, but also typically provides less dramatic changes. The tightening process involves using a laser to heat the collagen that resides under the skin's surface. It expands collagen, producing the desired tightening results. Resurfacing, on the other hand, completely removes outer layers of skin to promote new, healthier layers. It is typically used to treat issues such as acne marks, sunspots, age spots, wrinkles, and facial scarring. Resurfacing, however, can pose a risk for unwanted pigmentation changes and there is also a small chance of scarring.

If you are undergoing tightening treatment, your doctor will use a small instrument that emits quick laser light pulses. You will probably feel a sensation of gradual warming in the area that is being treated, and you may feel a bit of discomfort. Many patients liken it to the feeling of a rubber band being snapped on their arm. Once the procedure is complete, you should not feel any discomfort whatsoever.

You will probably start seeing results immediately after the tightening procedure is finished. But it will probably take several months before you see full results because it can take that long for the collagen stimulated by the tightening treatment to fully grow. This growth normally takes anywhere from three to six months to take place.

There is a possibility that you may need up to six treatments to get the results you desire. Typically, these treatments are spaced about three weeks apart. Some patients choose to have yearly appointments to touch up treated areas to help ensure that lines and wrinkles don't return.
You may have some swelling and redness in the area that was treated for a couple of days, and there are some rare instances where blistering and bruising may develop. However, the procedure is painless and safe, with very few side effects.

Laser Hair Removal - Facts You Should Know

Laser hair removal is a technique that uses beams of highly concentrated light. The procedure is mostly used to remove unwanted hair on the arms, underarms, face, legs, chin, and bikini line. If you need to know more about the treatment, here are a few facts about it.

•Light of different wavelengths is used. The different wavelengths of light are meant to work on different skin types. In some instances, a combination of different light wavelengths are used.

• The procedure is more effective on people with light skin and dark hair. This is because laser light easily penetrates light skin.

• After the treatment, you might feel as if you have a sunburn. This is due to penetration of laser light into the skin. To ensure that the sunburn effect does not weigh down on you, you should always wear sunscreen.

• The procedure does not cause any discoloration, bumps or scaring on the skin.

• For effective hair removal, an average client will require four to six treatment sessions. Although, this is the average number of treatments required, some clients need more or fewer sessions for them to register permanent results. The number of sessions required depends on the hair color, skin color, location of the treatment area and the hair texture.

• Although, the procedure is aimed at removing all the hair in the target area, you need to note that during treatment, some of the hair is not removed. If you find that you still have some hair after treatment, you should go back to your surgeon. The surgeon will do a touch-up session to completely remove the remaining hair.

• According to many clients, the treatment usually has a snapping feeling. This is a feeling that resembles a rubber band on skin. Since people tolerate pain differently, some people require anesthesia during the treatment while others don't. Before you undertake the procedure, it's recommended that you first consult your surgeon. The surgeon will examine you and decide if you require anesthesia or not.

• The procedure is done by a registered surgeon or aesthetician. Before you settle on a given surgeon, always research for the best surgeon in the area. The best place to begin your research is online. Here you will find different surgeons offering different services. Before you make your choice, you should ensure that the surgeon is registered by the regulatory body. You should also ensure that the surgeon is experienced and has the ability to effectively undertake the procedure.

Different Types of Mommy Makeover Options

Having a child is one of the biggest highlights of a woman's life, of course, but it can also result in dramatic changes to her body that may take years to correct. By having a mommy makeover, however, you can counteract those changes and restore your appearance much faster. Here are some of your options if you are considering this type of procedure.

One option is to have a tummy tuck performed. This procedure is designed to tighten skin and muscle to where they were before pregnancy. If you have skin laxity, stretch marks, or any sort of deformity with your belly button, you may be able to benefit from this type of surgery. A tummy tuck will eliminate excess fat and skin as well as tighten muscles in the abdomen. There are many instances where a woman's skin and muscles are stretched so far that they cannot be flattened no matter how much you exercise. If this is the case for you, then you may have no other alternative than to have a tummy tuck performed.

Liposuction is another popular mommy makeover option. If you follow a healthy diet and exercise regularly, then you will be a candidate for this procedure. You may have pockets of troublesome fat that you simply have not been able to get rid of after your pregnancy, no matter how hard you've worked. Liposuction can eliminate fat in places such as your hips, thighs, and abdomen so that you can reclaim your pre-birth shape. However, it is very important to realize that this procedure is not for women who are obese. You need to have realistic expectations in order to gain any benefit.

Another common and popular procedure chosen as part of a mommy makeover is a breast lift. During and after pregnancy, women can experience sagging and stretching of the breasts. A breast lift can restore your figure and can also be performed on an outpatient basis. The specific technique used will depend on factors such as your volume of breast tissue, the laxity of your skin, and the results that you wish to accomplish. You will more than likely experience scarring afterward, but you will also notice a substantial improvement in your shape.

Breast augmentation is another option for women interested in pursuing a mommy makeover. Many new mothers believe their breasts appear smaller after having children, especially if they breast feed. Breast augmentation is one way of creating more volume and restoring lost fullness. You will be fitted for either saline or silicone implants once you have had a thorough discussion with your doctor. Once the procedure is completed and you are back home, you should start feeling back to normal after about a week or two. However, you may not see final results for several months.

Therefore learning and implementing healthy stress management techniques in our daily lives is necessary for maintaining physical and emotional health. Everyone handles stress differently however by using healthy stress management tips you can learn to keep stress levels under control and avoid physical and emotional symptoms that come with it.

Stress can occur suddenly, or build up overtime. Therefore it's important to try to minimize unnecessary stressful situations by being prepared, managing your time and solving problems quickly. This means being realistic and resolving problems before they blow up. There is only so much time in the day, therefore don't take on extra projects or activities that are going to stretch you thin. This includes financial obligations as well. Saying no or turning down requests doesn't make you a bad person, parent or spouse. It's being realistic about your time, your needs, and your ability to handle everything that's on your plate. Talk about concerns that could turn into problems later on. It may be difficult but by addressing issues upfront you can avoid problems in the future.

Stress reduction is a healthy stress management tool. And it may be different for everyone, but knowing what stress reduction techniques work for you it's vital for controlling the stress that builds up overtime. Exercising, socializing and taking breaks are all examples of healthy stress management tips which reduce stress. However when stress suddenly and instantly hits you it's important to know how to manage that stress properly so you can think clearly and react appropriately. Manage this stress by putting things into perspective, accepting what you cannot control and coming up with a plan.

Exercise
Exercise is an important part of a healthy lifestyle but it is also a great way to manage stress. When we exercise our body releases endorphins into the blood stream which make us feel good, so not only does it physically make us feel better but emotionally as well. Consider specific exercises that reduce stress such as yoga, tai chi, Pilates or martial arts.

Take a Break
Everyone needs sometime during the day to themselves to take a break. This time can be used to do whatever is most pleasing to each individual person but it is specifically to relax and relieve stress. By doing one relaxing activity each day, whether it be listening to music, meditating, writing in a journal, getting a massage or painting you are implementing healthy stress management techniques into your lifestyle to manage and prevent stress.

Express Yourself
Humans are social creatures; therefore it's important to express how you feel. Talk to a friend, family, and coworker about how you feel, even if it's just to tell someone and not to get advice. It will make you feel better to get your feelings heard, and not bottle them up inside you.

Perspective
Having perspective on every circumstance maybe difficult especially during stressful times. However it's important to take a step back and put yourself in the other person's shoes, or ask yourself if it really matters in the grand scheme of things. Then take a deep breath. This will allow you to move forward with a clear and focused head.

Beyond Your Control
When circumstances are out of control, it's easy to be stressed or get mad but there is no point to it. We cannot control everything. Manage your stress by learning to cope and accept that you cannot control everything. This will help you to stay calm when something happens that is beyond your control.

Come Up With a Plan
When there is a problem, the best way to manage your stress is to make a list of all possible solutions. Determine which works best for your problem and put it into action. This allows you to see that you have options in the time of crisis, and by creating a plan to solve your problem you are effectively reducing your stress.

Healthy stress management tools are a great resource against all types of stressful circumstances. They allow anyone to manage, reduce and prevent stress in ones daily life. Keep stress under control by utilizing these techniques each and every day.

Mother Nature's Medicine Cabinet for Cold and Flu Season

Cold and flu season is looming on the horizon and as the saying goes, "The best offense is a good defense!" With so many variations of the flu virus and "common cold" at large, even the best vaccinations and due diligence may not protect you and your family from becoming infected, and it's never too early to make sure your other forms of defense are ready.

For those wanting to rely on Mother Nature's medicine cabinet, there are several great herbal alternatives for not just masking symptoms but for restoring the body to its natural state of health. From personal experience, Yarrow and Elderberry are two of my favorites.

To break a fever: Yarrow is known as a diaphoretic, or sweating, herb. Diaphoresis, or sweating, is known in alternative medicine and herbalism as one of the best ways of restoring health. Though running a fever is a cause for worry, especially among parents of small children, a fever is actually the body's way of ridding itself of toxins and restoring circulation to its equilibrium. Herbs like Yarrow help bring a fever to its breaking point, where the body is rid of its toxins and equilibrium is restored.

Administering a hot infusion of Yarrow raises the heat of the body, equalizes circulation, and produces perspiration. Pour one pint of boiling water over one ounce of Yarrow, cover for a few minutes, then give freely as warm as can be tolerated. It may help to strain the infusion before drinking or to put the loose Yarrow herb in a cotton tea bag before pouring the water over it to avoid getting the herbs caught in your mouth. From a taste perspective, it may also help to add a touch of stevia as the taste of Yarrow itself can be somewhat bitter. However, when faced with the flu or when sick with a cold, a quick shot or two of a yarrow infusion to curb the illness is well worth the few minutes of bad aftertaste that may follow!

To treat the general symptoms of colds and flus: Elderberry (also known as black elder) has been used for centuries as a tonic for colds, flus and sinus infections, and I see it making a comeback on store shelves today. Sambucol is sold in local drug stores as both a syrup and as tablets and should be taken at the first signs of sickness. You can also find pure Elderberry extract syrup sold at vitamin and supplement shops or via their online sites. Though most parts of the elder flowers have historically been used for medicinal purposes and certainly have their own set of benefits, recent studies by Israeli virologists have suggested that Elderberry extract might be most effective against the flu virus by blocking replication.

If you'd prefer to "do it yourself" and create your own flu remedy, try combining Elderberry flowers with Peppermint leaves, which are also known to have antiviral properties. The following is an adaptation of a recipe taught to me by Dominion Herbal College, North America's oldest school of herbal medicine.

Bring one pint of distilled water to a boil. Combine one ounce of dried Peppermint leaves and one ounce of dried Elder Flowers in a saucepan. Pour the pint of distilled boiling water over the top. Cover and keep warm on the stove for 10-15 minutes. Do NOT boil the mixture as Peppermint is very volatile and should never be boiled. After 10-15 minutes, strain the infusion and keep it warm and covered. Administer to adult patients in 2- to 4-ounce servings every 30-45 minutes until the patient breaks a sweat. Once the patient is perspiring, reduce the dosage to two tablespoons (0.5 ounces) every one to two hours. Be sure to give warm and until the patient sweats freely, then let the patient rest overnight.

Illusive Unconditional Love

Our parents loved us in the best way they could and if we were lucky - that love was unconditional. However, not all parents are capable of giving love unconditionally. Parenting is challenging - to say the least. Then there is the programming passed down through the generations on how to parent via society and family. I personally think it takes a really conscious person to develop and follow their own road map to parenting. That is a topic for another time. For now, we are talking about unconditional love.

What does loving unconditionally mean? In my most humble opinion - it is, loving someone without attachment or the desire to receive anything in return - including returned love. It is giving without any expectations or ROI (return on investment). Unconditional love is limitless, boundless and unchanging. Most of the time we humans - put conditions on love. We say: "I will love you, if... " Or "I am falling out of love with you because... "

Unconditional love has an element of altruism at it's' core. Altruism is a virtue. It is selflessness without the feelings of duty or the need to be loyal. If we feel it is our duty to give of ourselves - that is a moral obligation and not unconditional. Being altruistic is sacrificing self with no expectation to be compensated, in any way. This also includes any expectation of becoming enlightened, gaining merit or going to heaven.

I know this is a touchy subject and at the same time, it must be mentioned. There are people who perform deeds with the above intentions in mind. I think it is wonderful to give and help and I also believe we have to be clear about why we are doing something. What is the motivation? If the intention is to gain in any way - it cannot be considered unconditional.

So, how do we obtain this seemingly illusive form of love? First of all, I believe we have to give it to ourselves. We must love all the aspects of self, including the aspects we don't like. I know this sounds hard, and at the same time it is the truth. Our world is a mirror. It mirrors back to us our beliefs and feelings. If we don't love ourselves, we will just get that mirrored back - sometimes in a very big way. We must dig into our subconscious to ferret out all the ways we sabotage receiving the love we so desperately seek.

Secondly, we must stop looking to other people to give us love of any kind. If we consistently look outside of ourselves for someone else to love us, we will never get it - it's the mirror again.

Thirdly, we do receive unconditional love. It's all around us - we just need to see it. It is our view of the world that causes us not to see that we are loved. We are - each of us - a part of the Great Mother and Father, who loves us unconditionally. It really doesn't matter what we have or haven't done - we are still loved. One group of people isn't loved any more or less than any other group of people. Think about it, when it rains - doesn't everyone outside get wet?
I know this is a simple example and maybe I should make it more complex. The point is however, if we look within we will feel the love that we seek.

New Generation Energy Healing

Have you noticed how everything seems to be speeding up, especially this year? More and more people are awakening spiritually, hungry to learn more and to find their true soul purpose. At a conscious mind level, they may be determined to break through old limiting patterns and beliefs, create more abundance, release emotional pain and trauma, and let go of toxic relationships and jobs. However they may finish up frustrated by the ineffectiveness of traditional therapies such as counseling and psychology that only address issues at the conscious mind level. Little wonder, considering the conscious mind only represents 10% of the mind and does not deal with energetic trauma held within the body and energy field.

Although trained as a psychologist and a counselor, I have been practicing energy healing for nearly twenty years and have found this to be far more effective in helping people to move beyond where they are stuck than the 'talk therapies'. Nearly everyone has areas of blocked, trapped or stagnant energy from an accumulation of unresolved traumas and faulty subconscious beliefs. When energy can no longer flow freely, significant emotional, mental and spiritual hindrances to being happy in life can occur as well as physical discomfort and dis-ease. Energy healing works to clear through energetic blockages at all levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual - to rebalance a person energetically at all levels.

In the last few months I have witnessed a huge shift from energy healing modalities such as Reiki, Seichim and Sekhem, which rely heavily on learning and applying complex symbols, to a new wave of higher vibration energy healing, such as the Isis Healing of Love System, where it is no longer about learning a string of complex symbols for it to be effective, but rather about being able to connect with and channel the very high frequency energy that is coming onto the planet at this time. More and more healers are being called to work with the energy of the empowered Divine Feminine of compassion and Divine Love. This new generation energy healing assists people to rapidly release and transcend their issues, often from where they had been feeling stuck for years, maybe even lifetimes.

In particular the Ancient Egyptian Goddess Isis is making her presence felt at this pivotal time in the expansion of consciousness. You don't need to know anything about her or have any particular belief set to be positively affected by her energy. Known as the Universal Mother Goddess, Isis has counterparts in many cultures down through the ages, such as Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Compassion and Mother Mary. Often she is depicted in Ancient Egyptian art with outspread gold wings and the solar disc surrounded by cow's horns on her head or the empty throne of her murdered husband Osiris on her head. The empowered Divine Feminine energy of Isis raises a person's vibration to a high degree and works to repair damage to their 12 strand DNA and energy field. Isis helps with the expansion of consciousness through soul initiation.

What Is the Most Necessary Element for Life?

Comparing other elements, Water is the single most important element in the world. It is the very basis for all life on the Earth. For babies, water accounts 70 to 80% of the body mass. But for elders the more this percentage decreases, eventually balancing at approximately 60 to 65% for men and 50 to 60% for women. Our brain, which is the most important organ in the body, consists of 80% water. The amount of adipose tissue in our bodies regulates the natural percentage of this element. Women have more of this fatty tissue thus decreasing the amount of water present. A human body needs water more than the satisfying state. So, one should drink 12 glass of water in summer and almost 6 to 8 glass in winter. Water can be drink in all liquid forms like milk and juices etc...

Milk is a great resource of getting pure water for body because it also contains water. Juices of all fruits are also in liquid form and also they are healthy for human body. Although we can gain water by these resources but pure drinking water is necessary beside this. It is the great and low cost gift of Allah Almighty for humans. The chemical which produce water, hydrogen and oxygen, are crucial to satisfying life because of the weak chemical bonds made with other molecules. Water is also an incredibly efficient conductor of electricity in human body. Our brain has the ability to conduct electrochemical impulses to our neurons. These high level brain functions are the foundations for intellectual thought to more mundane actions like breathing. In addition to these characteristics, water, can be a great nutritional aid. It can suppress your appetite, reduce sodium levels, and eliminate waste and toxins. They are the higher most functions in all process of the body. If we do not have sufficient levels of water in our systems our bodies will naturally be defaulted in the cases of diseases.

Clean drinking water is not only a resource, but it is a life source. We all share the responsibility to certify a healthy, secure and defensible water supply for our communities, environment, and economy because we are one as a nation and our quality of life depends on it. Our Government has released the Water for Life action plan; it is the roadmap that the government and its partners will follow over the next 10 years. It is now expected that this plan will work well and will accomplish the need of water which is increasing day by day.

7 Ways to Drive Safely in Any Weather Condition

Many times people have to be somewhere and they must drive through horrible conditions. Rain, snow, and windy conditions can contribute to treacherous driving conditions that cause many accidents and fatalities. Driving in low visibility and on icy roads makes the situation even more dangerous. You can keep yourself safe if you follow a few rules to driving in hazardous weather.

Leave early enough to not feel rushed. If you know that a large snowstorm or other hazardous weather front is on its way through the area, leave a little earlier so you will have enough time to drive cautiously and arrive on time. Speeding and horrible weather conditions are never a good idea, no matter how late you think you will be. If you arrive very early, at least you will be there safe and sound with no injuries.

Be aware of your surroundings. When driving through a storm or other windy conditions, it is very important to look around you to make sure that nothing is blowing in the wind that could come across your path. Never drive into any body of water in which you cannot see the road. You may be driving into a flood that you cannot get out of.

Make sure you are driving at appropriate speeds. Just because the speed limit is a certain number doesn't mean that you must meet that number when driving in hazardous weather. Drive slowly and put your hazard lights on to alert other drivers to your slow moving car. Just because other drivers may be driving faster than you are does not mean that you must drive faster, too.

Pull over if you cannot see or control the car properly. In extreme weather, it may be impossible to see when driving. In this case it is best to find a safe place to pull over and wait out the weather. Try to find and exit or a parking lot to pull over rather than pulling over on the side of a major highway. In very, very bad conditions, find a spot to pull onto the shoulder and stop if you need to.

Keep your headlights turned on. Your car needs to be as visible as possible to other drivers on the road. If you cannot be seen, you may be injured in an auto accident. Make sure your headlights are turned on and drive with them in the on position so other drivers can easily see your car. You may be able to see a little better in bad conditions when your headlights are on, too.

Drive defensively. Not all other drivers use common sense when driving in bad weather conditions. You must be on the lookout for other cars that are out of control, driving too fast, or are not very visible. You must protect yourself from these cars and try to stay away from them in order to avoid any accident that they may become involved in.

Listen to driving suggestions from the local weather authority. Turn on the radio to listen to weather warnings and watches in your area. The local weather authority may be able to alert you to certain driving conditions and what to expect. They can also tell you what roads to avoid and when you should stay off the roads altogether. Some states will only allow certain emergency vehicles on the road during certain weather events, so be sure that you are following the law.

Driving during bad weather is very dangerous and should be avoided whenever possible. If you absolutely must drive in bad weather, you need to take precautions and use common sense when driving to avoid having an accident and becoming injured.

3 Tips For Better Radio Communication In The Transport Industry

There are three things that will improve the quality and efficiency of radio communications.
Take Advantage of New Technology
The radio communication technology that's currently available to transportation industries is better than ever before. When a driver checks in, the report they make will be clearer and they will be able to check from increasingly remote rural locations. Some of the technology makes it possible for the auto mechanics at the home base to monitor the state of the vehicle and make sure everything's working perfectly, and quickly alert the driver to the situation so that the problem can be dealt with before it worsens and becomes a safety hazard.
It's in the best interest of any company that transports cargo to take full advantage of whatever communications technology they encounter. In the long run, this keeps drivers and vehicles safe, reduces misunderstandings, and will save the business a great deal of money. In addition to setting up drivers and support staff with the latest technology, transportation companies need to make sure they hire people who have experience working with dispatch protocols and knows how to use the radio communications equipment.
Transportation Companies Aren't Interested in Hiring People who Need Dispatch Training
There was a time when you didn't need to worry about learning much about radio communication if you were interested in pursuing employment in the auto careers industry. When you turned in your application at a transportation business. They were perfectly happy to provide you with any training you needed. Things have changed. When a company makes a decision to hire someone, either to work in their warehouses or as a driver, they're only interested in hiring people who can start working right away. They have realized that the more time they spend training, the more money they lose.
Taking dispatcher courses from an auto mechanic school with a good reputation shows the company that you're already familiar with radio etiquette, the equipment you will use, and how to handle emergency messages. You will have the best chance of getting hired when you take dispatcher courses from a school that makes it a point to teach students how to use the most up to date radio communication technology.
Learn Current Regulations
Everyone knows that radio communication is an important part of the transportation industry, but anyone interested in pursuing auto careers needs to understand that transportation businesses are expected to adhere to current regulations. While these regulations can sometimes seem silly, it's important to remember that these regulations were created because someone believed they would improve safety. Knowing current regulations and making sure they are being adhered to means the transportation company will avoid getting saddled with what could be a substantial fine.
